Affidavit of Return - urgent Pls.

I have a question about Afidavit of Return. My mom is going for the Visa interview alone. My dad is staying back for personal reasons. Does he need to provide any affidavit of return for my mom like this:

To Visa Office Chennai.

I have no objection for my wife '' working in '' going abroad on leave as I have to look after the house and my aged mil.

my dads name and signature

Would this be enough or should I add some more,

Its better if both ur parents attends the interview and then ur father may stay back in India.
But if ur father really cannot attend the interview, i advice ur mother to take the original passport of ur father with her for the interview along with the affidavit of ur father (as vacation for the americans generally means going with the family)

and remove the words "working on " in the affidavit.

I don't think such a letter necessary (might also be counter productive). On contrary to Rathi's suggestion to attend the interview together, I think because your father is not traveling at this time proves strong ties in India. My mother-in-law recently got her visa and was only asked what her husband's occupation is, the passport might serve as evidence though (if he doesn't have one don't sweat it out).

Yes, the 'no objection certificate' from husband may be useful..because when my mom attended recently(nov 6th), the vo asked ' is your husband do not have any objection' then my mother said absalutely no ,as he gave me 'no objection' letter also...

keeping one like that is no horm...
