  • I-94 mistake - need advice

    My parents entered the US under a B2 multiple entry 10-yr visa.
    My father filled out both I-94s (for himself and my mom) and accidently filled in his info (name, DOB etc) on both I-94s. This was not noticed by the immigration officer or my parents at the Port of Entry. We just noticed this recently.
    My questions are:
    1. Can this be rectified?
    2. Should we approach USCIS or CBP for the correction?
    3. I looked into form I-102 (USCIS) for requesting a replacement I-94 but it says that the form is not to be used for CBP issued I-94s.

    Need advice.
    Thanks in advance,

    Yes, it can be rectified and you must do it with CBP and not USCIS.
    Read Q4 on this CBP page;

      I-94 mistake rectified

      I got my mom's I-94 name error rectified today.
      Went to the local airport (which is also a small international airport and not the original port of entry) with my parents.

      Talked with the CBP officer there, who was a very accomodating gentleman and explained to him the situation. He knew how to handle this as he had encountered a similar case recently. There was another lady with him. Together they corrected the I-94 for my mom and put the original date of entry, the original I-94 number and the original date of authorized stay. The whole process took about 15 minutes.

      Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation in the future.
