  • me and my brother want to invite parents

    Hi,
My brother and myself are staying together in MN, US. We want to call our parents on Tourist visa. I being the eldest should I invite my parents or both me and my brother needs to invite them. Please suggest what is the best approach in such a scenario.

Ok. Since both of you are in the same boat, either one of you can sponsor.
Even though your parents have ties to India (married children , your mother's
job), you never know about the interviewing officers, a lot of times it seems they just need a reason to deny. In your case your dad's retired status with no pension may be a negative factor.
So to be on a safer side, you should first sponsor your mother only.
She can take a date, a few weeks before the summer vacation, say in April,
and apply to go for 2 months during the vacation period. She should apply to take a no objection certificate now if she is a govt teacher, because it takes some time with the govt departments.
