  • B2 visa for my mom

My mom has a visa appointment in Feb 1st week. She went for a visa appointment last year in June and was denied (214b). We are 3 children all on GC's in the US and our father is no more.

Can we say that one of us is now living in India for this appointment? Thanks for the help.

I am really sorry to say it is going to be almost impossible for your mother to get the visa, since she is a widow with all children in US.

To get her the visa, mere presence of one of you in INdia will not work.
It will only work if one of you has actually settled down in India
and even then, she will have to show some occupational ties like a small business/a center/ responsible membership with an organization/job etc.

OPTION: One of you can sponsor her for an immigrant visa after becoming a citizen.
