RATION CARD to Consulate

I'm inviting my MOM for visting me. Does she needs to take RATION CARD to Consulate?..I have NOT seen any websites mentioning abt RATION CARD …but some people in this forum mentioned about it.Is it MUST?..If so whats the use of it?..Pls advise me.Thanks

No, it is not must. but another govt. form for address proof.

yes it is okay to carry electricity bills.
FYI: My in-laws did NOT carry any address proof docs, (i did not see anywhere that applicant needs this proof)

I have NOT rasied the issue of RATION card for the sake of Address proof Guys.

I think ADDRESS will be mentioned in the Affidavit Doc..Don worry.

The reason behind me asking abt RATION CARD is,,,

some times, we hear ppl posting/talking abt Visa officer asking how many family member you have back in India related stuff right?...and there should be something to verify our parents answer right?...what if visa officer asks our parents for confirmation doc etc,,So I thought taking ration card wld be apt for verification...

another Q is:

I have no clue abt affidavit mentioning about number of family members also...

can anyone throw some light here...

Can our affidavit talk about number of family numbers residing in USA ,,,in India etc???
