Sponsoring My Mother For Visitors Visa

Hi,
I Have Entered to US on July 2006 on a H1-B and then with in one month, i have transfered to another company and i got my H1-B Approval Notice.
now im sponsoring my mother for a visit.
my question is
the visa which is stamped on my passport is of old H1-b(where the previous employers Name is also mentioned),
is it fine just to have the Latest H1-B approval or should i get the visa stamped of new H1-B Approval and then sponsor for my mother??? or can i sponsor now

You are good with visa. please make sure that you send new approval notice copy with all other related docs.

now i have the other important question related to the tax

since i came here in July 2006,
i got the W2Form recently....
now i dont have tax returns at all because i have just come....
do i have to file a return and then send that copy or just W2 form would do???
