Scheduling an appointment in Mumbai

Hello,

My parents are applying for B2 visa and I was going through the details in your website. Under the 'Application' section it states that appointment could be scheduled either online or by going to the VFS centers in person.
But VFS Mumbai recently emailed me that the only way to schedule interviews is online.

The embassy website on the other hand states that either ways is fine.
Could you please confirm which of it is true.

You can definitely schedule appointments in person at VFS.
