Visitor Visa Applicant Currently on unemployment

I am trying to get my Mother in Law from Romania to the USA for the birth of our son. She was working in her last 2 jobs 13 years and 4 years. She had to leave last job because was having medical problems. She is now on unemployment but actively seeking work but it is hard to find jobs in Romania at her age. Will this hinder the application, how should we explain this to the consulate?

Stable employment in home country serves as an important tie to which
the applicant will return to. So chances would be better if she is employed.

In the current situation,she can still get the visa if she can show other family ties in ROMANIA like husband with good employment, home , other children.

By the way, what is the visa status of your spouse in US?
