Sponsoring Mother-In-Law

Hello Immi Member, I have to arrange for the sponsorship paper work for my mother in law. I have only question:
I reside in Virginia with my wife but nowadays I am in South Carolina for some personal classes training.

Would it be ok to get Bank and Letter of Invitation Notarized from South Carolina or I have to get it notarized from the Virginia State where I reside?

Wouldn't that be a problem for Mother in law when she is in the embassy?

You can get it notarized from anywhere in the US. Doesn't matter.
