At the Consulate

Hi,

I have a quick question about assistance available at the Consulate (Mumbai). There are some things that are not allowed to be taken inside the Consulate at the time of interview. My parents are going alone...Does anyone know if there are provisions to keep the things that they cannot carry inside safely in a locker or something while they are gone for the interview in the Consulate? Or should my parents take someone with them?

They should carry only what they need and leave everything else in a safe place . No safe box or any such thing available at the consulate

If you have paid additional fees to VFS, they will provide transportation from their booth to visa center. Also they can keep their stuff there..

My parents took the same today morning (got their visa!!!) it costs 200 rs....and they serve refreshments(my dad mentioned sandwiches...maan, how much i crave for the sandwiches...lol) and take u from VFS to the consulate and u dont hav to wait in line.....n are directly taken in......my dad says that he doesnt regret paying more (really he's happy coz he got the visa...n doesnt care more...so dont take my word for it ) Btw, my parents kept extrra stuff, cell phones etc at the lockers here....but at the consulate u cant keep anything.....
