time Gap between visits

Hi All,

I need some advice !! My mom has 10 yr Visa and she visited US. She got the 6 month port visa. She stayed here for 5 months ( my delivery)and went back to India. Now she is again planning to come . I wanted to know if that could be a problem and also how much should be the ideal minimum gap between visits.She is a govt employee.After this visit she may not come for next 2-3 years.Please suggest/advice

There is no rule about a minimum interval. It all depends on the purpose of visit and the length of your last stay in US.
For casual visits,follow a 5 month stay in US with a 5-6 month stay in India. If you enter too quickly like a month later,
you should have a very good reason to explain at entry and there is a possiblity that you can be sent back if you do not have a very good reason.
