changing b2 to h4??

hi ,
i am on b2 visa in Usa at present and i 'm planning to convert it to h4. is it possible to do that or will it be better to go home and enter again on h4?

It is possible to do it but you will get a change of status on your I94
and not your passport and if you have to travel home, you will surrender that I94 at the airport and will have to appear for an H4 interview to be able to return to US.
