New Passport

Hi All

Need your suggestion and help.

I have applied for student Visa on 25th July 2000 and it was refused for not providing the sufficient ties to india.

I lost my passport in 2001 & applied for new passport in 2001 but the poblem is that my new passport does not have a previous passport entry althought i had given the Police F.I.R & Sworn In Affidavit for Lost passport at the time of applying for new passport.

I have travelled on previous passport to asian countries before it was lost& to many countries including U.K. on new passport which was issued in 2001.I am appearing for Interview on 10th april. Pls advise.

Pls help will this discrepancied effect in getting the tourist visa .

Manav, there is no need to worry
since you have a new passport and there is no old passport entry ... i dont think you should tell the visa officer that you have ever applied other wise there would be hell of questions they would ask about this

how would they search if they dont have his old passport number?? i mean they would search your record from your passport number only...no??

I was actually trying to say its gonna be time taking if he go back and get his passport updated from passport office as you know the process time they take....

Why would he need to get his passport updated.

Then they do a name check as well not just a passport check. So why lie, and why is there a need to lie about the old passport. He lost it, did nothing wrong.
