  • Visitor Visa for parent--- help

    Hi
I am on H1 Visa and want to invite my parents. I filled in my d156 that i have no relatives in US. But my Sister is their (different last name as she is married).

What should they fill in column 37 of D156 form. Daughter in US (Yes).
She is Green Card Holder. and want to apply their Immigration next year as she will be citizen then.

If they say NO to relatives besides me what impact they will have on immigration. Please advice.

If they YES, Will they get Visa, Is consular going to check my D156 which has (no for coulmn D156).

    Thanks
    Noor

Please do not lie on your application forms. If you are caught lying, your family will never be able to apply or get a visa again. In Q. 37 put in both son and daughter and both your current visa status.
There are many parents who have been granted visitor visas despite having both their children in the u.s.
Whether they are granted a visa or not depends on whether they can convince the VO of their strong social and economic ties to India and of their intention to return.
