Visa Validity After Passport Reissue

Hi there,

My parents got visitor visa for 10 years a few months back.
Their passport is due to expire in 6 months.
They are planning to apply for a reissue of passport. (the passport is a 10 yr validity one)
Will the visa be valid after the new passport is issued??

Please confirm.

They will need to carry both old and new passports all the time.
The visa remains valid

Also I hope the answer remains the same even if the new passport is issued from a different passport office. (They moved from Chennai to Trichy).

Also please note that they never travelled on the old passport.
