parents tourist visa rejected on mar 26th,07.Pls help

My parents went to Chennai consulate for B2 visa and were denied visa under 214b. VO said that my green card is invalid and don't have citizenship and rejected. When i asked my parents if they gave any paper,my dad told me abt 214b. VO didn't mention the real reason for rejection.

My dad is retired and gets ridiculously low pension.He owns agricultural land and some life insurances and deposits. I have a brother who is studying in india and my grandmother dependent on my parents.I want my parents to visit me ,what can i do to prove that they will return back to india? Anybody ,pls help if u have gone through a situation like this or heard abt it.

My dad wished good morning to VO!

The lady translator asked all the questions

1. Did you take voluntary retirement?
Dad: Yes

2.How much pension do you get?
Dad:xxx (dad gets low 3 figure income)

3.When are you planning for the trip?
Dad: April 2nd or 3rd week

4.How many kids do you have?
Dad: one daughter and one son.

5.What is your son doing?
Dad: Son is a student and daughter is married and living in US.

6.Do you have any property?
Dad: I have X acre agricultural land.

7.How much money do you make on that land?
Dad: YYYY X


That's all,they gave him 214b and asked them to come back again.

I have a grandmother who lives with my parents and dad made few investments ,have life insurance policies. They didn't give him a chance to show these.

About my alien registration, my hubby is sponsoring them.So we filled up his green card number in one of the forms,but i sent the copies of mine and my hubby's passports and green cards.


My question is what went wrong and what can they do to improve their chances of getting tourist visa.

I am pregnant and due in May.Wanted to have them as it's their first grandchild and me and my hubby have no experience in taking care of babies,neither we have many indians in our city to rely on. Pls help if you have any info.
