Bank Verification letter for parents

Hi all,

We have booked visa interview for my parents on Apr 30 this month. We have requested Bank of America for account verification letter. Since we are in utah, ther's no BOA here, and so they said it will take 2 weeks for them to send it to us.

I am very tensed, can we just send other documents to india except for this letter from bank. Can i fax this letter to my parents?

Kindly guide me in this regard!

You can send the documents that you've already prepared right away. As for the bank letter, even if it arrives on between April 20-23 you can still mail it to India by 3-4 day (i.e. working days) express mail. If your parents live in any large city in India they will get it on time.

Atleast I had a similar problem with having to send the bank letter after I had sent the rest of the documents and the express mail worked absolutely fine for me.

If it comes say 2-3 days before the interview date then fax a copy of it. But make sure that the copy of the fax that your family gets is clear and legible.

When they say two weeks count it as 16 days or so instead of 14.

And hey, all these big banks are the same. So it would be a good idea to call them in 4-5 days and remind them or enquire on whether the letter has been sent out.

As long as you have the bank statements , your parents should be okay.
