  • Redundant but confusing QN - Pls Help

    Hello,

Please excuse me if I am being redundant here, but I havent really gotten a correct answer for my qn.

This is regarding the assurance_for_return_affidavit. My Qns are

    1. Is this mandatory?
    2. Should it be printed on a specail kind of paper? Like a money paper.
    3. Who should notarize it in India?

I searched the forums with the term "affidavit" in some places people say it isnt even needed and some say it should be printed on a special kind of paper. I am confused, pls help!

I also wanted to know, is it good if I send a copy of my Matriculation 10th and 12th mark sheet instead of my birth certificate?

    Thanks a lot!

Assurance of return is NOT necessary. In fact, it is completely useless document and does not mean anything.

Thanks for the prompt reply immihelp.

I was looking into the sample Q&A in this site and have a qn. I am sponsoring my father to come visit me. I am not married, what are possible answers to questions like, Why is he not married or when is he going to get married? What should my dad say? Should he say things like - next year when he comes back to India or we are looking for an alliance or what would be a safe answer?

      Thanks again!

Has anybody encountered this question where you are unmarried and are sponsoring someone to come to the US?
