Does anyone know if travel agents book visa interviews differently than shown online?

My travel agent took money from my mother and sister and said they booked appointment for 4th may. However they have not shown us any confirmation (no appt letter, printout etc). When we enter the barcode they gave us on the website, it says invalid - when I asked them they said that they do it thru a different channel. Is that true? Everyday they promise that they will give the confirm today but don't. I am worried - can anyone advice what to do?

Frankly they are trying to cheat your parents. Theres no way they can book it from a different source. They are bluffing that they have May 5th. What they are trying to do now is to find a date when its available.

Forget about those guys and try to book yrself online. Its quite simple if you try continiuously for a week or so.
