Visitor Visa for my wife

Folks,

I got my GC in 2004, just 2 weeks before my marriage. So, for this reason I could not able to bring my wife to US on any dependent visa. However, I applied for a Family Based Visa (Counselor Processing) in August 2005. I'm just wondering on whether if I can apply a Visitor Visa for my wife. Please advise / suggest.
