  • Doubts about visitor visa

    Hi all,

Is it true that if the visa is rejected twice within a year, we need to wait for another year to apply again. Someone has told my parents-in-laws.

We was really worried hearing this. Thier visa was rejected the first time when they went in nov'06 saying they were potential immigrants. They have a business to take care of. We have property there. But the VO simply rejected the visa without asking any questions. My husband has been here in US for 7 years now. His brother has just came in to do his masters. We are planning to apply in May'07.

Well, nothing has changed in these six months. But still want to try. Any piece of advice.

    Thanks

There is no rule that tells you to wait 6 months. You can apply again
in 3 working days. In reality, one should wait a good period so one can show some changes in the situation.

Please post more details about your in laws in India. How many children
do they have in India? If they do not have any children in INdia and both in US, it will be hard.

What is the occupational /financial status of your inlaws in India?

Post the last interview in Q and A form.

      Thanks for your interest.

They only have two children. But they have their own automobile business. And sufficient financial back up to sponsor for themselves. They also take care of their old mother.

The last interview went like this.
Q How many kids do u have?
      A two.

      Q what are they doing?
A One working and one studying.

Q Have you ever gone out of India?
      A No

They dint opt to come to us so long because of the business. But now it is in a stage where it will go well without them. so wanted to apply. My in-laws went together for the interview. I hope this time it works better. I know it is going to be hard. But we have had few friends in the same situation but their parents got the visa. So still didn't loose hope.
