  • Duration intended to stay in US question

I have been reading in some of the forums posted trecently hat its better to mention short duration for intent to stay in USA when asked by VO like ( 2 months or 3 months) compared to more number of months, as that might be more easier to get visa. Is this really true?

I have mailed the sponsor's documents including parent's DS156 forms, where in mentioned as 4 months. Is 4 months too long a duration to mention, if so please advise if i need to edit DS156 to 3 months and resend the document. My parents interview is in June 3rd week

Anybody who parents has recently attended the interview and got visa, and had mentioned 4 months or higher in DS156 form for duration intended to stay, please share your experience. I woudl highly appreciate your opinion.

Actually my father intends to stay for 1 -2 months, while my mother intends to stay here for 4 months for my pregnancy. But i didnt want to mention 2 months for my father and 4 months for my mother, since i thought it would arise more questions by the VO, hence want to keep the duration same.

    There is nothing like that.

Just mention the duration they truly intend to stay and stick with it. If you mentioned 4 months, stick with it.
