Lost Indian passport with valid US visa

Hi,

My mother lost her passport while going to airport in India. She had 10 years valid visa. She never been visited US. We filed a complaint and got FIR from police and we also applied for duplicate passport.

My questions are:

1. I am sponsoring my mother to visit US. According to US consulate website, we need to get appointment (for lost passport with valid visa) for visa and do the everything as if we are doing for the first time. So, Do I have to send another I-134 (affidavit of support)with new passport number?

2. What are her chances to get visa this time?

Hi,

I just realized that we don't have to specify visitor's passport number in I-134. So, I guess she can use the one that I sent her before.
