Visa overstay by an hour -Help!

Hi,

My mother recently visited me on visitor's visa. Her 6 month visa expired on Aug 1st. Her flight left the US port at 1:15 am on Aug 2nd (We did not realize that the flight was on 2nd.). She surrendered her I-94 on Aug 1st and went past security before 12 in the midnight.
Has she still overstayed her visa?
Will she have problem coming back to USA?

Chill out - everything is OK. The BCIS has bigger fish to fry than to catch someone overstaying for an hour.

nope, this isn't an overstay, as the i-94 was collected on the last day of it's expiry.

as the other friend said, don't worry, this is not an over stay or any violation

however, to be on the safe side, next time do book your return tickets a few days before the dead line, that way, if there's an emergency or flight's cancelled, you don't have to worry.

this will also ensure that the people are welcomed easily on every visit
