Parents Visa -Section 221(g)

My parents have attended the Visa interview at Chennai Visa Consulate on April 20th 2007 and have been handed a pink paper asking additional information. (Probably because My dad is retired from DMRL which is Defense Organization. ) They did send an email having all the additional information, but their case status is not reflected till now. It doesnt even show as processing.

Does any one have any idea or similar experiences? Please Help me.!! Atleast they can update the case status online and indicate the status as processing instead of not even updating..and leave us guessing ..about what actually happened to our application.

Please someone give some advice.

1. Did the consulate asked your parents to provide the additional details through email?

Yes they were asked to send information via Email, which they promptly sent. But their status has not been updated until now

Pls Help

Today the visa consulate responded saying that they have asked my parents passports in the month of May. But we did not get any information nor our case status is updated online. I am checking the following for the case status ,
http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/adminprocess.html . Is there any where else that we can check . I am really confused now...Where is the case status updated...? and why no one contacted us ? and should we send the passports now?
