My K-3 petition has been applied by my husband in U.S.A. It will take some time before i get my visa. I'm a doctor and have taken my USMLE steps1 and 2 with good scores. Now my third exam is in U.S next month . Can i apply for a visit visa to take my exam and come back considering that my spouse visa petition is already in process? Can you give me advice regarding this . I shall be grateful.

the general practice is they do not give visitor visas to people who have shown immigrant intent by having immigrant petitions filed on their behalf.
In special cases like yours it could be possible if you have the convincing power to reason with the officer that a delay in CSA will affect your career and your return is imminent as a K3 is in process.

There is no harm in trying as it won't affect your K3.

In my situation what should I write that whose going to sponsor my visit? My husband in U.S or my father or myself? and what papers should be shown on behalf of the sponsor?

You will have a hard time trying to get a non-immigrant visa (B-2) when you have already shown immigrant intent (by having an I-130 filed for you).

by the way when was your K3 petition filed? If it is nearing processing completion, applying for b2 may be useless.

My K-3 was filed in April. The current status is that it is at the NVC now and they're going to send to the pakistan counsulate in 2-4 weeks. I've heard it takes a few months at the local embassy to process K-3s. That's the reason i want to have a B-2 and i plan to return to get my K-3.
