Doubt to be cleared please help

Today my parents went to visa appointment .They asked 3 questions:
1)Why r u going to USA.
2)What r they doing?
3)How many childrens do u have?
Then VO asked them to hand over the passport and 156 and 157 form itseems.
Does this means they got visa or we need to wait till we get passport.
please help me as weneed to book the ticket.

Congratulations it looks like the visa has been approved. before booking tickets wait for the passport, you can ceck status of passport on VFS website use track your passport link.

and remeber 180 days is not 6 months always so be careful when you book the tkts. It is always prudent to leave a few days of grace for emergencies for return date.

keep in mind if the visa is not a 10 year but shorter duration the stay period might have to be shorter as well.
