Question regarding DS156
Hi I am trying to fill the form Ds156 and it ask in one question have you ever granted a visa yes or no. and at one place it ask have you ever been to US yes or no. my question is my parents had green card and came to US once. what I should write where it ask have you ever been granted a visa(if I say no , and print out the form it itself say no where it is written have you been to us) what I should do pls help it is very confusing I am filling no for visa granted and it is saying No to both places visa granted and and have you ever been to US. and there is no place in DS 156 to mention about green card.

You write 'Yes'.
Reason:
They got green card only after they entered the US. What they received at the embassy/consulate was 'immigrant visa' which is still visa.Immihelp Support
