Doubt regarding the invitation letter

My Husband is sponsoring for my Mother's visa. Do we need to send a combined invitation letter signed by both of us or separate invitation letter from me and my husband or invitation letter only from my husband ? Advice me.

is it best the invitation letter be typed or hand writen ?????????? and exactly what should it say ????????????????? and can it be sent by fax or email or does it have to go by mail ???????????????? please help
