B2 Visa for wife without marraige certificate

Hi,

I am on L1-B visa in USA for 4 months. I want my wife and kid to join me here for next 2 months on B2
We got married 2 years back.
The problem is
1) We dont have marraige certificate ( Not possible to get it as I am in US )
2) Her surname before marraige is different from her current name
3) My name is not there on her passport.

Can any of these solutions work?
1) Company letter stating that I am here on business and they are going to join me for rest of my stay.
2) Affidavite from Notary stating that we are married and her name after marraige would be the NEW surname

Will my salary certificate and bank statements be suffiecient or she has to show something in her name?

why would you want to apply for B2 when L2 is the more appropriate visa.

now that you cannot do anyting about the certificate you can provide affidavits and wedding pictures.

I am applying for B2 because of company policy.
How good/ bad are the chances of getting visa with an affidavit?

Is the spouse name on the passport is mandatory ?

I think you need to sit down with the company reps to discuss this as B2 will be difficult to obtain, and does not allow long term stay in US. B2 is visitor visa and allows only a six month stay maximum in 12 month visa and ahrder to get as there is non-immigrant intent that needs to be proven.

L2 will be much easier and will also allow the spouse to work.

in any case it is not mandatory but can be done easily at the passport office.
Maybe you can convince your company to let you visit india for registering your marriage.
