  • Question in I-134 Form.

I am sponsoring my parents visitors visa, and both me and my wife work.
In I-134 (affidavit of support) form under question # 7 (My Annual Income info), can we put our combined annual incomes, though my wife is not the sponsor?

    Thanks.

          Ah!

There's no specific number for substantial. Basically it's upwards on the poverty line income of average American.

I've known many cases where the annual income was US$36,000 and they were able to sponsor 2 to 3 people easily.

However, in your position, I'd say your income will be definitely much more than US$50,000 so, you're good.

Also, if you want to add your spouse's income, you can do so, it'll add to the 'weight'.

Note that many a time, your information may not even be looked into and your people will get their visas.

          Good luck.
