Calling vsf to get regional language dates?

Someone told me that, you can book the appointment for English and call the vsf and ask them to schedule for an interpreter at the time of the interview.

Does anyone know if this thing work?? especially for Mumbai consulate??

The easiest answer to this seems to be for you to just call them directly and ask them! (And then maybe you could post us the answer you got from them!)

I have called VFS a couple of times, in very short conversation before they hang up on me (they seem very eager get off the phone, perhaps I call at peak hours with many callers), I asked them if they could make a Hindi appointment over the phone (at Mumbai Consulate) for someone I'm sponsoring. They asked me to do it online and keep trying even if it keeps saying "check back in 24 hours". I've been doing that three times a day, every work-day for the past 2.5 months now! (California time, at around 7pm, 11pm, and in the morning at 7am) No luck so far.

If anyone else had any luck with VFS making appointment for them, please do let us know!
