Hi ,
My in-laws(FIL - 57 yrs old and MIL 55 yrs old) attended visitor visa interview on 11/1.But it got rejected and they gave 214(b).
Below are the questions asked in the interview.
(They attended the interview in Tamil)
VO:Why do you want to visit USA?
FIL:To visit my son's family and for tourism purpose(I think , they could have told them that tourism first and then visiting son's family).
VO:how many childrens you have?
FIL:2 sons. One in India doing business and the younger son is in US.
VO:What is your son's company?
FIL:XYZ..
VO:what is your annual income?(Mentioned occupation as Agriculture)
FIL:40K
He understood that they asked abt monthly income. He is earning good amount every month. The translator and the VO officer thougt that thats an annual income and they said that your income is very low and you will not return to India.
Apart from Agriculture land, all the properties are registered on my in-laws name.Worth around 70Lks.They are collecting rent around 10K/month.They have original documents for everything. They have around 6.5Lks FD in the bank and insurance...
when they said that the income is very slow, my FIL was trying to explain and trying to show all the original property docs to them. But my in-laws bad luck, they were not ready to see the docs. They even carried family photos with grand parents.
They said that thanks for coming and try next time.
I am not very sure what to do at this stage.
My husband's grand parents are dependent on my in-laws(they are above almost 80 yrs ).They have to take care of them as well as my brother-in-laws family(one grand children) also. They are helping for my brother-in-laws business also.He is always in travel.
So they cant stay with us for more than 3 months.
Can you please help me out what to do at this stage?
1.How they can prove their ties in India?
2.what is the minimum time gap required for the second attempt?
3.Do we need to prepare all the documents(I-134(notarised),Annual bank stmt, employment letter...) all over again?
4.How long the documents are valid? can we reuser them?
5..Can I ask only my MIL to attend the interview?(atleast she can visit this place.she is most interested).
I am really feeling sad. Please help me out.
Thanks for your help
