UK visa require or not

I have valid US visa . I will going to US from Dubai. I will catch the flight Emirates from dubai to London Gatwick airport. From London Gatwick i will catch the flight of Air American airline for destination. Is it require UK transit visa foor the same.
I will stay only 3.00 hrs in London gatwick airport.
