Process of B2 Visa Step by Step

Hi All,
Can anybody let me know, how should i start in getting the B2 Visa for my friend. I belive first we need to start in getting MRV Fees, where we go to HDFC Bank and get the fees paid and also get the pink fees, after that i think we need to schedule an appointment date with the help of Barcode number, what should we do next, can any body please let me know where to start and end, step by step, i am sponsering visa to my friend, please.
