B2 visa for my mother and my I-94 status

My mother is applying for B2 visa in Dec or Jan. I am on L1 work visa and my I-94 is getting expired on Feb 27th 2008. My company has already applied for I-94 extension to USCIS.
My question is will it be good idea to mention about my I94 expiry and its extension application details in the letter that I will write to the consulate?

Please suggest. Appreciate your help in advance.

As long as you are in legal status in US, there is no problem. Just send the proof of your current legal status.
