  • Income Tax Return Documents for Parents

    Hello All,

My parents will be applying for Visitor Visa and I am going to sponsor them. I am preparing the supporting documents as per Immihelp's suggestions. I sincerely thank the Immihelp team for this.

    I have following 3 questions:

    1. My father has retired sometime in 1998 and till 2005 he filled his IT return. His only income is Pension and some amount from Fixed Deposits which does not require any tax payment. Will there be any problem when they appear for Visa Interview due to this?

    2. My mother has retired and has no income now. She has similar case where she filled IT return till 2004/2005; we are wondering if there will be any problem as she is not having IT return for last 3 years.

    3. Whether the affidafits that they (parents) need to submit has to be notarised?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Mainak

    Docs and affidavits

Show whatever tax returns or the financial documents you have. The more you show the better for you. Try to include other stuff like equity holdings, property documents etc.

Yes, affidavits should be notarized [attested as they call it in India].

    Good luck.
