  • postponing the existing appointment

    Hi

My Mom has an appointment with the Chennai Consulate three days from today. But due to some reason we want to postpone the appointment for a later date.
How much time before(like 24 hrs or 48hrs)the existing appointment can we cancel and reschedule it?

Also if we don't cancel the appointment and can't attend it does the HDFC DD's expire? or can the same HDFC DD's be used for next apointment?

    Thanks
    Sandhya

some consulate allow us 48 hours for to cancal our appointment. In Mumbai consulate we can't able to cancel within 5 working days from your interview date.

So, I advise you to try to cancel your appointment online otherwise walk in to the nearest VFS Cantre and tell them for cancellation and reason for that they will charged you Rs. 155 (panalty charge) and provide you "NO SHOW" Notice absence on interview date.

Thereafter you can book another appointment. But remeber do not make any mistake in second time otherwise your receipt will be deactive for 90 days.

    bye.
    Gandhi.
