Do not have W2 or tax return forms

Hi:

I am sponsoring B2 visa for my in laws and plan to apply for visa interview in February. As part of sponsor document, I understand that I require to send the W2s and tax return forms for the last 3 years. Since I had come to US only in June of last year, I do not have my W2 or tax return form.

Can I explain this situation in a letter and write the reason why I do not have my W2. I have my paystubs as a proof for the taxes that I have paid last year. I also have bank letter for the transactions I had done in last year.

I want to understand if there will be any issue if I substitute the W2 form with a reasoning letter. Or is there any other work around for this. Appreciate your help.

If you have not stayed in the US long enough to have document like W2, tax returns etc., you don't have to provide them.

Just send whatever is applicable to you.
