Ds 156, 157

I am trying to take an appointment at the chennai consulate for visa interview for my parents and my sister. I am using the option of adding family members who are travelling together to fill out the forms. This means that all 3 of them can attend the interview at the same slot.

I was asked to fill DS-156 for my father while I had to fill DS-156 and DS-157 for my mother and sister. Is this right? The website never gave me an option to fill out DS-157 for my father. However , the consulate webpage says that everyone has to fill DS 156 and Ds-157.

Insights into DS-156 and DS_157 please.

If your Dad is over 55 he will not be required to fill DS-157

Thank you for the information. MY father is over 55 years..that explains it.

However, my Mother will be 56 in another month. But it still asked her to fill the DS-157. Is this alright?

i guess that one month short of 56 makes her 55
