Mom Visitor visa-Please help

HI,
My parents had attended the visa interview in chennai in Nov 07 and unfortunately their visa got rejected.It appeared that being only child of my parents and my fathers retirement contributed for the visa rejection. At that time my wife was pregnant and I have asked them not to disclose this information as it was not adding any advantage to the situation.
Last month My wife has delivered a baby girl and my mom is going for visa this month.
My question is
If the visa officer asks my mom "Does your son (ie me) have any childern
is it advisable to say that I have a 1 month old daughter alternatively if my mom says that I don't have any childern is their a way that the visa officer will come to know about this(please note that the birth certificate is already issued).
Please advise.

Don't lie. It can lead to temporary or permanent ban to apply for a visa.

BTW is there a way the VO can find out about the birth of the baby..
