Question regarding parents' tourist visa while I am on OPT status

Hi Immihelp,

I am currently on OPT and working full time in a US company. I
graduated with a Master's degree in December 2006. My H-1B visa has
been approved and it starts in October 2007. My OPT ends in December
2007.

I am planning to invite my parents to visit me and they will be
applying for visa at the Calcutta (India) consulate in July. I have
already sent them necessary documents listed on the www.immihelp.com
website (like the I-134 affidavit of support, bank letter, bank
statement, recent pay stubs, employment verification letter, H-1B
approval form etc.). My questions are:

Since I am currently on OPT status, do I have to get a letter from
the university from which I graduated? As mentioned earlier, I have
already sent the employment verification letter from my company and
copy of my H-1B approval notice to my parents.
Will my parents need to show copies of my I-20? If yes, do they have
to show the most recent one or copies of all my I-20s? I have already
sent them copies of my OPT/EAD card.
Will it be a negative point if my parents apply for tourist visa
while I am on OPT? Should they wait to apply till October 2007 when I
will change to H-1B visa?
