My in-laws got visa (10yrs,M ) at Chennai. Interview was on 02/19 in Chennai (Telugu).
Their visa was rejected last year january without any reason.
This time i made them prepared well.
This time interview was cool and they just asked my uncle about his designation and about his children in india.

My Parents got visa (10yrs,M) at Chennai on 12/13/07 firsttime.
Also it is very important to say Good morning to the consulate officer.
Documentation tips:

a) Buy 8 tabbed folders from STAPLES. Prepare 2 sets of documents (For each applicant). Though many of them are duplicate, i felt comfortable to have it separate for each applicant.
b) Prepared 4 pages of common quetions and answers in telugu and asked my uncle to memorize. (This will gave them lot of confidence).
c) Apart from the documents mentioned in this site, also put a document with the order of documents (For each applicant).
Here is the order of documents for my uncle (kept it in a document)
ORDER OF DOCUMENTS- <Applicant name>
1. Interview appointment letter ,HDFC Receipt, DemandDraft for 1240Rs ($31 Payable to U.S Consulate Chennai), Passport and Passport copy(Biographic information)
2. DS-156, Request for visa letter and Invitation letter from <Sponsor name>
3. I-134 , Bank letter and bank statements for past 6 months
4. Employment verification letter, last 3 months pay slips, last 3years W2 s and Tax returns
5. Copy of passport, H1B copy and I-94 copy of <Sponsor name>
6. Original Birth Certificate of <Sponsor wife>, Copy of Marriage Certificate, Passport copy, H4 visa extension and I-94 copy of <Sponsor wife>
7. Affidavit of return, Affidavit of personal property, Tax returns
8. Family photographs
Prepared another set of documents similar to above for my aunty.
