  • Got B1/B2. This time for visit need help !!

    Hi Team

Last year i was issued a 10yrs Multiple entry B1/B2 visa to US. After getting the visa i had travelled to US on Business ( B1 ) and had returned back to india after 2 weeks stays in US. Now its been almost a year and sometime in the month of June i am planning to visit US, but this time its for visit. Before i plan my travel there are some quearies for which i need some clarification.

Q1) Is my Visa valid for a Visit ? I assume it is !!

Q2) The main purpose of the visit is to attend my nieces's baptism which will happen in MI. Also my sis is put up in MI, but i would want to visit NY first ( my uncle stays there ) and then fly down to MI...will that be a problem ?

Q3) Is there are documentation which i need to carry with me when i travel ?? I would be carrying my return flight tickets but apart from that do i need an invitation letter from my sister or some kind of supporting docs from her ??

Q4) Any other piece of advice, which the senior members have for me ?

    Thanks & Regards

    Jango !!

You won't face any problems.Remember your visa is B1/B2 ,so it is valid for both business as well as visits. Just tell the entry officer at NY that you are visiting family for about 2-3 weeks.Ask your sister to send you an invitation letter mentioning her address, visa status in US and also carry a leave letter from your employer in US.The leave should mention the stay you ask for. These documents are not usually asked for but they may be.
