  • Sponsor for USMLE step 2 cs visa

    Hi -

I've got 99% in Step 1 and i'll be going for Step2 Cs in US and Step 2 CK in india.

1.Wondering, while sponsoring for my trip, will it be ok if I use my dad's income tax returns as well as my sister's who is married.

    Or

should I go about using my Dad and my uncle as sponsors.

    2. Also, whatever I have read through most of the thread, while applying for the visa through vfs, I've to check the "Business Visa" type.

    3. As one of you mentioned in one of the threads, If i get any RA in one of the hospitals, they can file for H1B. But during mean time do I have to go back to India or can I stay and do observership in US.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    1. The best thing is to show that you are spending your own money.
If you are just out of college and do not have that kind of money, the next
NATURAL person to finance your trip is your dad. Do not mix your uncle or your sis ; it just shows your dad does not have financial strength and so you are more likely to stay there.
BTW what is the annual income your dad can show? Does your mom also earn?

    2. Yes , Business visa.

    3. You are not allowed to work on a B1/B2 visa. You are not even allowed to volunteer except in very specific places like
charitable non-profit organizations. So doing observership may put you at some risk for violating the terms of your visa which can have major consequences. Weigh the risk before going for it. Once your H-1 is granted,
you may work/observe for the sponsor who filed your H-1.

    OTHER TIPS;
You will be asked about your future plans when you apply for the B1/B2 visa. DO NOT ever say you wish to settle in the US.
Say you plan to do residency in US and then return to India.

OP, change of status from B1/B2 is frowned upon. Also only non-profit H1s are available now.

          docpritz,

If your post accurately reflects your English ability, you need to rethink your plan. If you are doiing this intentionally, you need a lesson in forum etiquette.

People don't write any more. They text :-)

They may text (or they may be illiterate), but I don't and won't struggle to decode the gibberish. No wonder people have such horrible spelling and grammar now!

English is still a medium for conversation and writing and what you used is not english.

Start writing your exams the same way (will save you time, isn't it?) you write here and get your university gold medal.

Stop cribbing and write full sentences to get replies or go elsewhere. If you are so short of time, talk to an attorney. That will save you more time as you need not even type and can converse on the phone.

This is not Orkut or Myspace.

                      docpritz,

It is madam to you, thank you.

I doubt that any hospital would approve of you using this garbage in progress notes no matter how much time you might save. Your patients certainly won't.

Quite frankly, I don't appreciate your arrogant attitude. You are asking MY government (also known as me) to grant you the PRIVILEDGE - you have no automatic right - to enter MY country. Either clean up your act and language and get a serious attitude adjustment complete with a little humility or go find some other country who will appreciate your so called "distinction holder" status and will overlook the fact that you have no "class."

If you were my child, you would have had an attitude adjustment long ago!
