Birth Certificate

Hi,

I want to invite my mom to US on Visit Visa and the appointment data is 31st March, 2008 at Chennai Consulate. I am in US presently and my brother could able to arrange for the birth certificate. A big blunder, my mom name is blank in the birth certificate as they have prepared the BC keeping in mind my SSC (10th Certificate which doesn't have mom's name, ofcourse). Whether an affidavit from my mom + the birth certificate without my mom name in it, will solve my problem?


My name as per passport First Name: Afroze Last Name : Mohammed

As per the BC certificate Name: Mohd Afroze ( As per 10th Std spellings), whether it will create any problem?


Please suggest me 31st March is approaching .................

Whose birth certificate?

Whose birth certificate are you referring to? Do you mean to say that your mom's name is blank in your mom's birth certificate?

Your birth certificate was issued now March 08? How old are you? How did you type this post?

... you're good then. Try to get an affidavit done if possible.

It's not a good idea to get a "new" birth certificate for various reasons.

Anyway, it should not be a big issue, try your luck.

Issue Date of Birth Certificate can be only after you born, so I didn't have my BC yet, so my brother went to the birth/death department, they issued my BC with the issue date March, 2008.

My mom has got blank surname is passport so the visa is having FNU as firstname. I booked the flight ticket also using FNU, is it ok Or it will create problem while boarding the flight from India?

Hi Could you tell me how did you book ticket for your mom. My wife has the same issue and I need to book flight for her. I am not sure what to provide in lastname and firstname.
