Visitor visa - Sponsorship change

I sponsored for my parents visitor visa in 2000 and again in 2002. They got 6months visa in 2000 and visited US and stayed with me for 3 months. In 2002, they got 10 yr multiple entry visitor visa but they were not able to visit US on that visa so far.

I relocated back to India a few years ago and no longer live in US. Now, my parents want to visit my sister in US. Can they use the 10 year visa that they got in 2002? If not, what is the procedure they need to follow so that they can visit my sister.

They can use it anytime during its validity, even if the first visit is years after its issue date. No doubts about it. I used
mine 5 years after its issue date.

Peace, Thanks for your reply. My concern was more about the sponsorship. My parents have got the visa in 2002 using the papers I have sent. I no longer live in US and my parents would like to visit my sister who has moved to US recently.

When my parents travel to US, at port of entry they might check my parents visa and the sponsor's details in their system. They will see that I havent been living in US for past over 3 years. Would the officer consider it as an issue?

Visitor visa sponsorship has lot of misconception associated with it. Once a visitor visa is granted, that can be used by the individual holder of the visa for any visit. Who sponsored the visa initially does not matter. It is not even a document that is saved in the system according to my personal belief.
