My friend’s daughter is currently living in the U.S. She went there with a visitor’s visa and got married to a green card holder. She has applied for a J1 visa and her application is in process. My friend wants to meet her daughter. Please suggest how she can apply for the visa and procedures for the same. Can my friend apply for a visitor’s visa, and can she mention that she wants to meet her daughter? Will this affect her daughter’s chances of getting the J1 visa?
