Need help to invite my parents

My husband is in L1 and I am in L2. We came to US in the month of Jan 2008. I am expecting a baby in the month of July. So we would like to invite our parents during June, July and August.

My parents are doing business and are going to pay for the tickets and we will take care of the accommodation and food while they are in US. We can show a bank balance of $5K. Please let me know whether we sponsoring our parents or my parents self sponsoring them would be a better option for getting the visa.

Sponsor is not a must but ties to home country and the non-immigrant intent are.

Make sure they have good income to show self financing.
Usually Rs 10 lacs/ yr and above is safe.
If not , L1 should sponsor with proof of annual income.
