I have a question about the permitted stay date in I-94 form. My in-laws arrived at the Boston airport on April 15, 2008 (on B-2 visa). They were asked how long they would like to stay and after small conversation with my in-laws the officer said verbally that he would allow upto 2 weeks stay. But when we checked the I-94, it has the date of Oct 14,2008. Also it has striked out the 90 days stay duration, which probably is the standard duration for B-2 visa. So now the question I have is what is the actual permitted stay date - the stamped date of Oct 14,2008 or the 2 weeks stay duration that the officer said verbally? Please advise.
